Maria Chiara Dimartino
I’m a multimedia artist whose research explores sound as a generative force capable of activating visions, environments, and relationships. My practice moves across different media — including performance, graphics, video, and programming — combining sound experimentation, digital practices, and immersive installations.
Together with graphic designer Serena Gattini I run Drastic Studio, a laboratory dedicated to graphic and sound arts. Through the studio we develop projects that range from traditional graphic techniques to the creation of interactive environments, with a particular focus on the relationship between engraving and sound.
The studio also hosts workshops and moments of collective listening and shared research, collaborating with artists and collectives from different fields. Alongside this work, I maintain an active musical practice within several bands and collectives, including the duo Drastic Over, a project I share with Serena.
